Rogue Theater Festival accepts submissions of all kinds. If you're not sure, submit it and we'll be in touch
Virtual Performances: Thursday- Sunday: (each show will have 1 performance)
Rogue requires a $100 non-refundable participation fee
Rogue offers two options for participation. Scenario A (filming with us in a theater in NYC) and Scenario B (filming on your own on location, via zoom, etc. anywhere in the U.S.)
Tech Rehearsal/Filming (each show will have 1 tech rehearsal/filming slot if they chose to film with us on location)
Location: TBA Theater in New York City
Each show filming with us will have sound and lighting design done for them prior to their tech rehearsal/filming
Tickets will be available online leading up to the performances
PARTICIPANTS
RECEIVE

If filming with us: theater space for one rehearsal/filming session
If filming with us: Professional Stage Manager to run Lighting and Sound for rehearsal/filming
Social Media and Publicity for the festival as a whole and for your individual piece
Use of predetermined set pieces at the theater
Professionally recorded video of your show
25% of box office sales for your individual show
PARTICIPATION
REQUIREMENTS

Length: 10 minutes to 2 hours long (an intermission is required for over 1 hour)
It may be a play, musical, comedy/clowning, one person or dance based show, burlesque, improv, etc. If you have something else we’d be thrilled to hear from you too!
It must be an original work but having been performed before is fine!
Filming with us: You must be able to film (SAFELY) with Rouge at a theater in NYC.
Remote Filming: You must be able to film and edit your own piece to submit to us for the festival.
Each show must sell 10 tickets.

You can choose to film with us in NYC (Scenario A) or you may choose to film and edit your piece remotely (Scenario B)
All participants are fully responsible for producing their own plays. This includes covering all costs of production (e.g. rehearsal space, transportation fees, salaries, marketing, etc.).
Each show will keep 25% of their box office profits
Each show must sell the minimum ticket requirement or buyout remaining tickets
Shows will be assigned tech/filming and performance date
Sounds (as MP3's) and Lighting Cues will be due prior to your tech/filming rehearsal

Location: 13th St. Repertory Theater (50 W. 13th St. Manhattan)
Each show will have sound and lighting design done for them prior to their tech rehearsal
Tickets will be available online and at the door

Professional Assistant Stage Manager to run backstage

Hardcopy festival Postcards and digital individual show postcards
Use of predetermined set pieces at the theater

PARTICIPATION

It may be a play, musical, comedy/clowning, one person or dance based show, etc. If you have something else we’d be thrilled to hear from you too!
It must be an original work but having been performed before is fine
(10- 30 mins) - Must sell 15 Tickets at $15 each per show.
(30- 60 mins) - Must sell 20 tickets at $20 each
